Three ’Dogs earn CSC Academic All-District honors

EENWOOD, Ind. – Fresno State's Cristina Flaquer, Pang Jittakoat and Matilde Magrini have been named to the 2023 Academic All-District women's tennis team, selected by College Sports Communicators.

This is the first time in program history that three women's tennis student-athletes have earned Academic All-District honors in the same season.

Flaquer just completed her third season playing for the Bulldogs and will be receiving her bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Fresno State this week.

Jittakoat and Magrini are the 10th doubles pair in program history to qualify for the NCAA Doubles Tournament and the dynamic duo will be making the program's 15th all-time doubles appearance in the NCAA Championships after earning the Mountain West's automatic bid as the top-ranked doubles team in the conference.

Jittakoat is the back-to-back MW Player of the Year and Magrini is a two-time All-MW Doubles selection. The pair was ranked No. 48 nationally in the most recent ITA national collegiate doubles rankings.

The 2023 Academic All-District Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced June 1.
