FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno State head women's basketball coach Jaime White announced the hiring of DeAndre Betty on Monday afternoon. Betty will serve as the program's Director of Player Development and Video.
"I am excited to announce the addition of DeAndre to our Bulldog family," White said. "DeAndre brings experiences from different levels with a proven work ethic and energy. He will be a valuable asset to our staff and help us achieve our goals of winning a championship."
Betty spent this past season as a graduate assistant at Nevada where he assisted with operations, practices and equipment among other things. Previously, he was a student manager for three years at Arizona State under then head coach Charli Turner Thorne (2010-13). There, he was the scout team manager, helped with skill development, scouting reports and video coding.
Between his time with the Wolf Pack and Sun Devils, Betty worked in various roles in recreation for the City of Scottsdale. He also worked in insurance with State Farm and Lemonade.
Betty earned his bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Arizona State in 2013 with dual concentrations in Communication and Film and Media Production.
