Lynch moves up to seventh in Round 2 at MW Championship

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – Carding a 1-under par 71 on Wednesday, Fresno State's Harriet Lynch jumped 10 spots, up to seventh, on the leaderboard at the Mountain West Championship at Mission Hills Country Club. The Bulldog was one of 11 in the field to shoot below par during Wednesday's second round.

Lynch sits at even par through 36 holes. A bogey on her opening hole for the second straight day, the senior dropped to 2 over but regrouped with four birdies over the next nine holes. Bogeys at No. 11 and No. 14 moved her back to 1 under for the round.

Opening the tournament with a 71 on Tuesday, Nicola Kaminski slipped seven spots today following a 75. The junior is tied for 15th.

Fresno State moved up one spot and sits in eighth after shooting an 11-over par 299. The Bulldogs are one stroke behind Wyoming and three back of Boise State. No. 8 San Jose State leads the tournament at 7-under par.

The Bulldogs will begin teeing off the final round tomorrow at 7 a.m. PT.
