LONG BEACH, Calif. – On the final day of the Beach Invitational, Fresno State grabbed a trio of sixth-place results with two coming from Ceonna Pipion on the track and another from Jordyn Bryant in discus.
Competing in both the 200 and 400 meters, Pipion clocked times of 24.42 and 55.45.
Bryant recorded her second-longest discus throw of the season at 54.37m/178-4.
WALNUT, Calif. – On the final day of the Mt. SAC Relays, Jocelynn Budwig set a new personal record in the hammer while Cierra Jackson took seventh in the elite portion of the meet's discus event.
With a season-best mark of 53.72m/176-3 in the hammer, Budwig launched a throw that registered 57.46m/188-6 on Saturday. More than three meters beyond that season best, the senior's mark broke her personal best.
During the afternoon, Jackson took seventh in the discus at 56.75m/186-2. In the elite event's field of 12 competitors, the Bulldog sophomore was second among the six collegians.
