LONG BEACH, Calif. – Already moving up to No. 2 all-time at Fresno State in the discus last month, Cierra Jackson did the same in the shot put on Thursday at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate. On her second attempt of the competition, the sophomore landed a toss that registered 16.19m/53-1.5.
Jackson twice surpassed 16 meters on the day. She moved up two spots on the Bulldogs' all-time list, passing Meagan McKee and Rosario Sanchez.

In the hammer, Amelia DiPaola placed ninth, landing a throw of 59.30m/194-6 on her fifth attempt.
AZUSA, Calif. – While the heptathlon and decathlon competed during the day at the Bryan Clay Invitational, the distance events became the focus of the evening hours. Not having competed in the steeplechase since last year's meet in Azusa, Shaylee Grimm moved up to No. 5 all-time at Fresno State with a time of 11:06. 76.
A year ago, in her second steeplechase of the season, Grimm recorded the eighth-best time in program history in the event. Flash forward a year, the sophomore shaved more than 22 seconds off that time to move up three more spots.
In the multis, Madison Hutton is currently in seventh in the B section of the heptathlon with 2,964 points while Kaja Bins is eighth in the C section with 2,912 points. Hutton recorded personal bests in the 100-meter hurdles (14.27) and matched her career outdoor mark in the high jump at 1.61m/5-3.25. Bins set new career bests in the 100-meter hurdles (15.35) and 200 meters (26.64).
Garrett Ostrinski sits in 10th in the C section of the decathlon with 3,449 points.
