STILLWATER, Okla. - The No. 3 seed Fresno State equestrian team fell 16-4 to the No. 4 seed Baylor in Saturday's consolation round of the Big 12 Championships.
Fresno State moves to 3-9 overall this season, and had a 2-4 mark in its regular season Big 12 matchups.
How it happened
Sara Tuck won the first point for the Bulldogs with a 240-223 win in the flat. Tuck won both of her flat points this weekend, extending her winning streak to six-straight meets.
Fresno State won its most points of the day in the reining, winning two in the event. Ashley Jackson won her point with a 208-205 ride. Once granted a re-ride, Brogan Hill won her point with a 208.5-204 showing on the new horse.
The Bulldogs' last point of the meet was earned by Ana Bertozzi with a 250-239 showing in the fences. Bertozzi had the highest score for the 'Dogs in the event.
Baylor swept in the horsemanship to earn its 16-4 win.
