COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresno State's Joseph Lloyd was named Mountain West Golfer of the Week on Thursday afternoon. The Bulldogs have earned the weekly honor following each of their three tournaments during the spring.
Lloyd picked up his highest career finish at the Bandon Dunes Championship on Bandon, Ore. earlier this week, placing fifth overall at even-par in the field of 112. The sophomore opened the 36-hole shortened tournament with a 70 in the first round to put himself in the hunt before rain cancelled Monday's round. He followed up with a 74 in Wednesday's final round.
It was Lloyd's second Top 10 finish of the season.
