ELKHART, Ind. - The Fresno State swimming and diving team wrapped up day one of the CSCAA National Invitational Championship on Thursday with a pair of top-15 finishes at the Beacon Health Elkhart Aquatic Center.
Freshman Aliz Kalmar finished 13th in the 50 Breast in a time of 28.47 and senior Mackenzie Hutler placed 15th in the 50 Fly clocking a time of 24.90.
Four other Bulldogs competed in the prelims in four other events while the 400 Medley relay team of Cheyanne Summers, Kalmar, Hulter and Julia Matney came in 18th with a time of 3:47.36.
The Bulldogs enter day two of the CSCAA National Invitational Championship in 35th place as a team with 19.5 points. San Jose State is the only other Mountain West program in this year's field. Tennessee leads the meet of 51 teams with 216 points.
Friday's action gets underway with the prelims of the 400 IM, 100 Fly, 200 Free, 100 Breast, 100 Back & 800 Free Relay at 6:30 a.m. PT.
