BULLDOG BONES

Fresno State is coming off its second bye of the season. Last week, the Bulldogs won back-to-back games for the first time since mid-January.

The first of those two wins was the Bulldogs' first win of the season in a true road game, a 15-point win versus Utah State.

Fresno State followed that up with its comeback victory of the season, defeating Nevada 58-55 after trailing by as much as 15 midway through the third quarter.

Ahead of hosting New Mexico for Senior Night on Feb. 28, the 'Dogs will face their final road test of the year, heading north to intrastate rival San Jose State.

The 'Dogs own the third-best defense in the Mountain West, allowing 59.8 points per game.

Of the Bulldogs' 16 conference games, 11 have been decided by 10 points or less, the most of any team in the league.

On Feb. 18, Amaya West became the second Bulldog this season to reach 1,000 points in their career.

The fifth-year senior is one of two players in the Mountain West to rank in the Top 10 in scoring (4th), rebounding (10th).

Last week, Yanina Todorova led the 'Dogs in scoring in both contests, averaging 19.5 points per game.

THE COMEBACK

Until Feb. 18 against Nevada, Fresno State had been 0-19 this season when it trailed after the opening quarter. One step further, the 'Dogs hadn't won a game when they trailed at the end of any period. The Wolf Pack led by 9, 8 and 11 at the end of the first three quarters before the 'Dogs outscored 26-12 in the fourth to earn their first come-from-behind win of the season.

Fresno State trailed by as much as 15 midway through the third.

The Bulldogs led for just 90 seconds.

GET TO THE STRIPE, SCORE AT THE STRIPE

Following three seasons below 70 percent at the free throw line, Jaime White made it emphasis for her teams to improve that number. The result was re-writing the record book for free throw percentage as four of the five teams rank No. 1-4 in program history.

The Bulldogs are currently shooting 75.5 percent at the line.

Not just making their free throws, the 'Dogs have gotten 85 more attempts than their opponents (477-392). The result has been a +73 point advantage at the charity stripe.

Fresno State is averaging 16.4 free throw attempts per game.

Amaya West is second in the Mountain West at 86.1 percent while taking a team-high 108 attempts.

REACHING 1K

Against her former team on Feb. 18, Amaya West surpassed the 1,000-point mark for her career. The fifth-year senior passed it on a 3-pointer to tie the game as she helped the Bulldogs overcome a 15-point second-half deficit to defeat Nevada.

In all five seasons of her career, West has increased her point production (93, 136, 186, 222, 361).

West is the 30th player in Fresno State history to score their 1,000th career point as a member of the Bulldogs.

She is the ninth player to score their 1,000th career point as a Bulldog under Jaime White.
