LIHUE, Kaua'i – Following a 205 and 206 in his last two tournaments, Matthew Manganello went lower this week, carding a new tournament low of 13-under par 203 at the John Burns Intercollegiate at the Ocean Course at Hokuala. With 12 Top-100 players in the field of 126, the Bulldog senior who came into the tournament No. 107 finished better than nine.
Sitting at 7-under with six holes to play, Manganello closed with back-to-back birdies followed by eagles at No. 4 and No. 6, the 16th and 18th holes in his final round. The result was a career-low round of 65 to better the 66 he posted in each of his last two tournaments.
After closing out the second with a bogey free 5-under par 67, Matthew Sutherland finished the tournament with a 1-over 73. The junior ended the week tied for 33rd at 4-under par. Matching Sutherland's 212 was teammate Joseph Lloyd. The sophomore turned in three under-par rounds, closing Friday with a 2-under 70 in the second and a 1-under 71 in the final round.
Against a strong field, Fresno State finished the tournament in 11th at 15-under par. The Bulldogs shot a low of 281 in the second round and posted a 284 in both the first and third.

Matthew Manganello's final round 65 is tied for the 11th-lowest round in program history, two strokes back of the record.
The 7-under is tied for the seventh-lowest round versus par in program history.
The 203 is the seventh-best 54-hole tournament score in program history, four strokes back of the record.

With five Mountain West teams in the field, Manganello was the conference's top finisher.
Matthew Sutherland's second round 67 was his third round of 67 or better this season.
Joseph Lloyd posted three straight rounds under-par for the second time this season.
