'Dogs set 400 Medley Relay program record at MW Championships

HOUSTON - The Fresno State swimming and diving team set a new program record in the 400 medley relay on Thursday evening as day two of the Mountain West Championships wrapped up with the 'Dogs remaining in fifth place.

Scoring 196 points on the day for a two-day total of 329, the 'Dogs 400 medley relay team of Athena Clayson, Aliz Kalmar, Mackenzie Hutler and Julia Matney set a new program record in the event with a time of 3:38.94.

On the diving board, Silvia Alessio made the finals on the 3 Meter with a score of 295.85 placing seventh in the event.

Mackenzie Hutler also made the finals on Thursday, in the 50 Free, finishing seventh in a time of 22.93.

Day three gets underway on Friday at 8:30 a.m. PT with the prelims of the 400 IM, 100 Fly, 200 Free, 100 Breast and 100 Back with finals set for 4 p.m. PT.
