TEAM NOTES

Fresno State finds itself back in the NCEA Top 10 for the first time since October 2022, checking in at No. 9 in this week's ranking.

The Bulldogs opened their spring season 2-0, after not winning a meet in the fall.

Fresno State defeated No. 8 Baylor 13-4 at home last Saturday. It was the first time the 'Dogs defeated a ranked opponent while being an unranked team under head coach Eric Hubbard.

Fresno State will host its third-straight meet at home this Friday.

If Fresno State defeats No. 2 TCU on Friday, it will be the highest ranked team that the 'Dogs defeat at home since defeating then-No. 2 Texas A&M 11-9 at the Student Horse Center on Oct. 5, 2019.

Fresno State has defeated a No. 1 or No. 2 ranked team just five times in program history.

WESTERN 'DOGS

Fresno State is 28-42-8 combined in the western events.

Horsemanship leads the group with 18 total wins. Reining adds 10.

The Bulldog horsemanship crew had its first sweep since defeating UC Davis 5-0 on Feb. 8, 2020.

Senior Hannah Buijs has the most wins by any western rider with five in the horsemanship. Buijs also has a team-high two MOPs, both in the horsemanship, this season.

Buijs is riding a four-meet winning streak into this weekend's competition.

Buijs has not scored lower than a 72 all season. Her 72 was in the season opener on Sept. 30.

Alex Krebs and Kendra Lee add four wins apiece in the horsemanship.

Krebs has one MOP on the year.

Ella Storch set a new career-high 75 last weekend against Baylor.

Julianne Kelley has a team-high four wins in the reining.

Kelley has not lost a point to her opponent since Nov. 4. She tied in her ride last time out.

Sarah Semrau rode for a 79 in a reining MOP ride against Baylor last weekend, tying the program record alongside teammate Shelby Robinette.

Semrau earned her first career MOP last time out.

JUMPING SEAT 'DOGS

Fresno State is 28-46-4 in the jumping seat events.

Fences has 16 wins and the flat adds 12.

Against Minnesota Crookston, the Bulldogs had their first sweep in the flat since defeating Lynchburg 4-0 on Mar. 7, 2020.

The day after sweeping in the flat, the jumping seat earned a 5-0 sweep in the fences against No. 8 Baylor.

Sara Tuck had one of the biggest weekends of her career last weekend, going undefeated in her rides and earning all MOPs on the weekend.

Tuck scored a career-high 88 in the fences in her win against No. 8 Baylor last Saturday.

Senior Ana Bertozzi leads the Bulldogs with six wins in the fences.

Elle Martin has a team-high four wins in the flat.

Four Bulldogs set career-high scores last weekend.

SCOUTING TCU

TCU has competed once this spring season, defeating South Dakota State 16-3 on Jan. 26.

TCU is the No. 2 team in the latest NCEA team rankings, and continues its longest run of uninterrupted Top 3 rankings in program history

TCU's only loss of the season was to then-No. 10 Baylor, falling as the top-ranked team 12-7 on Oct. 22.

TCU has defeated four Top 10 ranked teams this season, including two that ranked No. 2 in the nation.
