Fresno State head coach Denise Dy is now in her third season back home in the Golden State.

The Bulldogs were ranked No. 65 in the latest ITA Top 75 Collegiate Tennis Division I Women's Team Rankings.

The Bulldogs are 37-13 overall in head coach Denise Dy's tenure at Fresno State.

Fresno State won the 2022 MW regular season championship with a perfect 10-0 record in conference play.

Fresno State also finished 2022 ranked sixth in the competitive ITA northwest region.

Fresno State enters the spring with five returners and four newcomers.

BULLDOGS SWEEP MOUNTAIN WEST WEEKLY HONORS

Fresno State senior Pang Jittakoat was named the Mountain West's Women's Tennis Player of the Week, while teammate Mariya Vyshkina was awarded MW Women's Tennis Freshman of the Week honors, the conference office announced on Wednesday. This is Jittakoat's fourth career MW weekly honor and the first for Vyshkina.

JITTAKOAT MAKES RUN TO ITA NW QUARTERS

Fresno State's Pang Jittakoat reached the singles quarterfinals of the 2022 ITA Northwest Regionals at Stanford's Taube Tennis Center in October 2022. Jittakoat, who won four singles matches, including wins over players from Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, Oregon and Washington State, before competing against top-seeded Connie Ma of Stanford in a tightly-contested quarterfinal battle. Ma edged Jittakoat (7-5, 6-4) in the fall showdown.

Carlotta Nonnis Marzano and Mariia Vyshkina also won their Round of 128 matches in the main draw of the elite field. In doubles, Jittakoat and Matilde Magrini defeated a duo from Santa Clara to reach the Round of 32.

15th conference player of the year award won by a Bulldog in program history (fourth in last seven years)

Jittakoat, along with Matilde Magrini, were named to the All-MW Singles and Doubles Teams.

Denise Dy is also just the second head coach in program history to coach a Bulldog to conference player of the year honors in each of their first two seasons at Fresno State.

BULLDOGS WIN 2022 MOUNTAIN WEST WOMEN'S TENNIS REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONSHIPFresno State won the 2022 MW regular season championship with an undefeated 10-0 record in MW play.

This was Fresno State's third Mountain West championship in women's tennis and first since 2018. The first two (2014 & 2018) were tournament championships won when the Bulldogs were coached by Ryan Stotland, who is now the head coach at Arizona, where Denise Dy worked as Stotland's assistant coach from 2018-20 prior to being hired as Fresno State's head coach a month before the 2021 season.

In 2022, Fresno State was the No. 1 seed for the MW tournament for the fourth time in program history (2014, 2015 & 2016). This was the seventh time in now eight appearances that the Bulldogs will be a top three seed.
