COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Senior middle blocker Grace Doyle and sophomore outside hitter Ella Rud have earned All-Mountain West honors, the conference announced on Wednesday morning.
Doyle saw action in all 18 Mountain West matches ranking ninth in MW matches in services per set (0.33). The Chandler, Ariz. native added 2.39 kills per set and 0.94 blocks per set totaling 148 kills and 58 blocks, respectively. Doyle totaled 10 MW matches with double digit kills and hit an impressive .647 in the 'Dogs win over Boise State on Nov. 5.
Rud also appeared in all 18 Mountain West matches checking in third in league matches in kills per set (3.68) and fourth in points per set (4.23). Leading the team with 215 kills, Rud averaged 3.52 kills per set and added 0.32 service aces per set. Rud reached double figure kills in 15 MW matches with a career-high 24 against Boise State while adding three double-doubles.
It is the first career postseason honor for both Doyle and Rud.
