FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno State women's basketball announced its fourth addition of the spring on Wednesday with the signing of Elif Dila Bayrak out of Turkey.
"Elif brings great athleticism, leaping ability and versatility," Fresno State head coach Jaime White said. "With a 6-foot-3 wing span, Elif can guard multiple positions defensively. Offensively, she has deep 3-point range and is exceptional in the open floor. She has huge upside and we are very excited for her future as a Bulldog."
Bayrak, a product of Ankara, Turkey has been a member of her country's national team pool and Turkish Super League side Cankaya University. In 29 games this season, the 6-foot-1 forward has averaged 14.8 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while also shooting 33 percent from 3. She has been named as a valuable five players of the week during the season and was MVP of the game three times.
Bayrak's team's have reached Turkey's developmental league final four (2021-22), the national high school tournament final four (2021-22), Super League final four (2020-21), development league finals (2020-21).
