COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresno State junior infielder Alesia Denby was named the 2022 Mountain West All-Conference First Team, announced by the conference on Wednesday morning.
The Murrieta, Calif. started all 21 games at shortstop. Denby led the Bulldogs through conference play with a .391 batting average, 25 hits, five home runs and 19 RBIs. The junior owned a .719 slugging percentage and a .446 on-base percentage.
She had nine multi-hit games including five with multiple RBIs. Through the final 11 games of MW play, Denby logged at least one hit in 10. She recorded a season-high five RBIs on three hits against Nevada on May 7.
This is the first All-MW award of Denby's career.
