Andre to join Bulldogs’ program

Nebraska transfer Eduardo Andre is a versatile, long and athletic post player poised to make an immediate impact for the Bulldogs during the 2022-23 season.

FRESNO, Calif. – Eduardo Andre has committed to play for the Fresno State men's basketball program, head coach Justin Huston officially announced on Wednesday.

Andre, who played the past two seasons in the Big Ten for Nebraska, was born in Luanda, Angola before moving to London, England, as a 4-year old. He prepped in Arizona and Texas with offers out of high school from Illinois, Maryland and Texas A&M among others before choosing the Cornhuskers.

"Eduardo is a talented transfer from Nebraska," Hutson said of Andre. "He's very versatile, and a long, athletic post player, who will make an immediate impact in our program. Eduardo has very high character, who will fit well into our tight-knit community."

In his two seasons at Nebraska, Andre played in 50 games and consistently served as NU's top front court reserve for most of this time in Lincoln.

In high school, Andre was rated among the top 10 recruits in Texas in the class of 2020 and earned District 11-5A Defensive Player of the Year honors while at Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas.

This spring, Andre was being recruited by New Mexico and Boise State, among others, prior to deciding to join the Bulldogs' program.

Andre has three years of eligibility remaining – starting with the upcoming 2022-23 season.

Andre is the third addition to the Bulldogs' roster for the 2022-23 season, which also includes San Joaquin Memorial's record-setting Joseph Hunter and 2021-22 NJCAA Division I First Team All-American Jordan Brinson.
