Golden State Stimulus: California To Send Out More Money This Week

California residents who have not yet received their Golden State Stimulus could be seeing money in the coming weeks.

According to the Sacramento Bee, the next scheduled batch of stimulus checks will include around 400,000 direct deposit payments that will be issued on Friday, October 29, and around 750,000 mailed checks that will be sent out on Monday, November 1.

Funds will be distributed either through direct deposit or the mail depending on the selection made by the recipient during tax filing. Those who chose direct deposit can expect their payments to hit their bank accounts by October 31.

A spokesperson for the Franchise Tax Board, Andrew LePage, told the Bee that approximately 9 million California residents are eligible for the stimulus checks So far, the state has already issued around 4.5 million payments.

According to the Bee, residents who filed taxes after September 1 should expect up to a 45-day wait after their return has been processed.

Residents who chose to receive their tax returns by mail will be subject to a staggered payment schedule based on their zip codes, according to the tax department.

People living in zip codes ending between 000 and 044 are scheduled to receive their stimulus checks in the mail between October 6 and October 27. The remaining checks are scheduled to be sent out through January 11.
