Terrifying Videos Captures The Moment A Mountain Lion Attacks Deputy

A deputy with the Larimer County Sheriff's Office was attacked by a mountain lion near an RV park in Loveland, Colorado, on Wednesday (March 11) afternoon. The mountain lion had attacked another person nearby, and deputies, along with game wardens from Colorado Parks & Wildlife, tracked it to the RV park. As they were trying to corral the wild animal, it pounced on one of the deputies.

Gregory Scot Paul was inside his trailer and recorded a brief video that captured the attack. The officer managed to get her arm up as the massive cat jumped on her. Another officer came over and kicked the animal off of her, and it started running towards Paul's trailer.

At that point, the video cuts out, but you can still hear audio, which captured what appear to be gunshots. Paul yells to the officers that there are people inside, as the mountain lion took shelter underneath his trailer.

The animal fled the trailer park and made its way to a nearby river. Game wardens managed to track down the mountain lion and killed it as it approached another home.

The officer was shaken up and received first aid at the scene before she was taken to the hospital.

"She got first aid," Tim Satterly, who witnessed the attack, told KUSA. "Her sleeve was off and wrapped up. I talked to her. She was okay, pretty shaken up."

Authorities have not identified the officer or the other person who was attacked.
