Police K-9 Takes Down Man Who Tried To Kidnap Child

A police dog is being credited with tracking down a kidnapping suspect after he fled through the woods in New Port Richey, Florida. The Pasco County Sheriff's Office said that the ordeal started when 24-year-old Kevin Wilson climbed into the second-floor window of a home and started arguing with the woman inside.

Wilson, who had a no-contact order with the residents, then took a girl from the home and started to leave but was confronted at gunpoint by the child's uncle in the front yard. Wilson left the girl and then drove away. He ended up crashing his car and fled on foot into the woods where he was followed by police.

As Wilson ran through the woods he was chased by officers and a police dog named Titan. Titan quickly caught up with Wilson and clamped down on his arm while a deputy ordered him to lay on his stomach.

After Wilson complied and Titan released his grip, he was taken into custody and charged with interference with custody, violating a no-contact order and child neglect.
