A religious liberty law firm is suing a western Pennsylvania town. The Independence Law Center filed a suit on Wednesday against Sewickley Heights Borough. The suit was filed after the town banned Bible clubs and other religious meetings from being held on a couple's 35-acre property 15 miles outside of Pittsburgh. The suit alleges the town ordered the couple to stop holding religious activities on the property as part of a zoning restriction. The suit says the zoning restriction violates the U.S. Constitution's guarantees of religious freedom, free speech, and the freedom to assemble.
