Jacobs joins record book after career night

FRESNO, Calif. - Mia Jacobs joins the Fresno State women's basketball record books after a career-high night in San Jose. Jacobs earned her tenth double-double of the season with a career-high 32 points and 10 rebounds.

Her tenth this season marks a total of 15 double-doubles while at Fresno State. Jacobs now ties fellow Australian Alex Sheedy at No. 10 in career-leaders with fifteen double-doubles. One more double-double this season and Jacobs can add her name under the season leaders, also at No. 10, to join Yvette Roberts and Maddi Utti for 11 in a single season.

Along with a new career-high 32 points, the forward surpassed 1,000 career points and sits at 1,017 through 47 career games.

What's next for the junior? With 263 more points this season, Jacobs can see 1,000 points in a Bulldog uniform. If achieved this season, she joins two other Bulldogs who broke 1,000 points in their first two seasons at Fresno State; Haley Cavinder & Ki-Ki Moore.

Jacobs started her D1 career at La Salle where she totaled 280 points (9.33 avg) in her freshman season. The following year she transferred to Fresno State, and now the junior ventures into her second season as a 'Dog.

In her first season as a Bulldog, Jacobs totaled 449 points, 223 rebounds, and 18 blocks, shooting 39% from the field and 36% from the three. Jacobs rolled in five double-doubles, six games scoring 20 or more points and 21 double-figure games. In addition, she was named MW Player of the Week (Dec. 23) after a career-high game against ASU and was named All-MW Honorable Mention.

This season the Australian has played at a steady pace - cracking 500 points in a Bulldog uniform, locked in ten double-doubles, and has six games with 20 or more points, including two games with 30+ points. Jacobs began the season being named to the Preseason All-MW Team and earned a Player of the Week nod on Nov. 18.
