FRESNO, Calif.- Fresno State women's basketball returns home to the Save Mart Center as the Bulldogs begin to close out the non conference portion of the schedule. Fresno State will host CSU Bakersfield in a double header matchup on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. PT streaming live on the Mountain West Network.

In Fresno State's win over Tennessee-Martin, Mia Jacobs became the only DI player over the last 25 seasons to have a game with the following stat-line: 14-plus rebounds, 12-plus free throws made, 5-plus steals and 3-plus 3-pointers made.

ABOUT THE MATCH UP

Fresno State and CSU Bakersfield will meet for the 14th time in program history. Fresno State leads the all-time meetings at 9-4 and the home series at 5-2.

Roadrunners come into Saturday's contest with a slight upper hand after winning the last two meetings. In the last two meetings, the outcome has been decided by three or fewer points. The last win for CSUB at the Save Mart Center was in 2021 (81-69).

Last time out the Bulldogs made the trip down the 99 to the Icardo Center. 'Dogs held a two-point lead as the final thirty seconds winded down. A three-pointer by the Roadrunners and a missed jumper by the 'Dogs called game in Bakersfield.

A LOOK AROUND THE MW

Fellow Mountain West teams will begin to wrap up the non conference play. Fresno State is set for their final two match ups at home before conference play begins on Dec. 29 against reigning MW Champions, UNLV at the Cox Pavilion.

Air Force is riding on a six-game win streak and looks to close in on their tenth win of the season. SDSU has already cracked ten wins (10-1) coming off over CSUF. Boise State also sits with a strong record heading into MW play at 9-2.

Fresno State was selected to finish 9th this season.

BENCH PRODUCTION

In all but three games the bench has scored at least 10 points with four games grabbing 20 or more points.

Top scorers from the bench are Holly Griffiths (4.2 ppg), Malaya LeSueur (2.2 ppg) and Avery Watkins (1.7 ppg).

Against USC, Griffiths saw a new season-high 11 points and sits three points shy of a new career-high. Amounting to almost half of the bench's points against the Trojans (21).

OPPONENT OUTLOOK

CSU Bakersfield will see its first female head coach in program history in Ari Wideman after the Roadrunners spent 13 seasons with Greg McCall.

Roadrunners come into Saturday's contest with a 0-9 record, the worst start to the season in the last five years
