BULLDOG BONES

Fresno State hits the road with a 3-1 record and will visit UC San Diego (1-3)

Fresno State is 3-1 to start the season for the second-consecutive season.

Fresno State is 3-1 to start the season for the sixth time under head coach Jaime White.

Mia Jacobs has recorded a double-double in all three of her games this season. The only MW players with longer double-double streaks to begin a season are UNLV's Sherry McCracklin (six in 2003-04) and Katie Powell (four in 2017-18).

Jacobs is the second player in MW history with at least 90 points, 40 rebounds and 13 steals through her first four games of a season and the first Bulldog in program history.

Jacobs is the first since 1999-00 Linda Frohlich from UNLV with 100 Points, 41 Total Rebounds, 16 Steals (11/15/1999 - 11/28/1999)

Fresno State played its third game in five days, going 2-1 in that span.

Last time Taija Sta. Maria hit double figures was on Mar. 5th when the 'Dogs hosted New Mexico

Mia Jacobs has hit 20 or more points in the last three games (21, 25, 26) and hit a new season high 26 points against Southern Utah

Fresno State wraps up with their third game of the week this Sunday. Bulldogs will then take a four day break before they return back home to host CSUN on Friday, Nov. 22 at 6 p.m. in the Save Mart Center.

ABOUT THE MATCH UP

Fresno State and UC San Diego will meet for just the second time in program history this Sunday. This will also be their first meeting in San Diego.

Bulldogs' lead the all-time meetings at 1-0. In the last meeting, Fresno State grabbed a 19 point win over the Tritons at the Save Mart Center, 71-52 where Franka Wittenberg led the 'Dogs in scoring with 19 points followed by Mia Jacobs with 15.

IT'S MIA'S WORLD & WE'RE JUST LIVING IN IT

It's been quite the week for Mia Jacobs. The junior started the week earning her 500th point in a Bulldog uniform and saw her third straight double-double of the season adding on a career-high 15 rebounds. Jacobs is the second player in MW history with at least 90 points, 40 rebounds and 13 steals through the first four games of a season and the first since 1999. Jacobs is the only Fresno State player to achieve this feat.

In a mid-week push for the Aussie, she recorded her third straight 20+ point game against Southern Utah on Wednesday night. Jacobs now ties her career streak of three consecutive 20+ games. Just short of five rebounds on Wednesday night, Jacobs was on the cusp of tying Katie Powell (UNLV, 2017-18) to earn a double-double in the first four games of the season.

Now through four games Jacobs has amassed 90 points, 40 rebounds and 13 steals.

ROAD FIGHT

The 'Dogs look forward to their first road trip of the season down south in San Diego. Fresno State has seen their fair share of struggles on the road in the past seasons, holding a 2-8 record in first road games of the season in the last 10 years.

Last year the Bulldogs held a 3-10 road record, only seeing wins in conference against San Jose State, Utah State and Air Force. Fresno State looks to set the tone this season, grabbing a win in the first road game of the season since 2021, at Utah Valley, 71-62.
