'Dogs add two on National Signing Day

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's basketball program had two National Letters of Intent signed on Wednesday morning, announcing Alexiz Graise and Ava Marr as the program's newest signees.

Ava Marr, a 5-foot-9-inch guard, joins the Fresno State program from Archbishop Murphy High School in Brier, Washington.

"We are thrilled to welcome Ava to our team," said head coach Jaime White. "Not only is she a dynamic, multi-position player with incredible poise and basketball IQ, but she's also a true competitor with a strong commitment to our culture. Her craftiness on the court and adaptability make her a perfect fit for our roster, and we are excited to see the impact she'll make both on and off the court as we move forward together."

Marr is a two-time first team All-League selection, and helped lead her team to a sixth place finish at the state level last season.

Graise joins the program from Phoenix, Arizona. The 6-foot guard attends Arizona Compass Preparatory.

"We're thrilled to welcome Alexiz to the Bulldog family," said White. "Her ability to hit from beyond the arc, dominate the boards, and stretch the floor brings an exciting new dimension to our team. Alexiz's work ethic and versatility are a perfect fit for our program, and we're excited to see her shine."

Graise was ranked the No. 9 player in the state of Arizona, and among the best shooting guards in the state. She was named a team captain heading into her senior season. Over the summer, Graise received an invite to the Pangos Girls All-American Camp.
