SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.- Fresno State women's tennis opens the Cal Poly Invitational with strong success through the first two days of play at the Ronca Tennis Complex on Saturday afternoon.
Sofia Pizzoni extends her singles wins to five while Yinglak Jittkoat remains unbeaten this fall earning her third singles win.

Fresno State earned their keep in the win column in doubles play with three wins over the two days in San Luis Obispo. Sofia Pizzoni and Eliza Dunbar. Klara Vukicevic and Charlotte Gisclon gave a clean performance for a 6-2 win over the Mustangs duo. Powerhouse doubles pair Matilde Magrini and Yinglak Jittakoat earned a win over the Hornets Savlevich/Pranyte, 7-6, this morning.
A falter in step for the Bulldogs during singles play with only three wins over the weekend thus far. Magrini, Jittakoat and Pizzoni earned singles wins. Jittakoat played a clean first set to sweep Sac State's Saulevich, 6-0 and took the second set, 6-2. Magrini saw herself with a hard fought third set win. Magrini fell to Sacramento's Walker 4-6 in the first set and took the second and third, 6-3.
Pizzoni saw the Bulldogs only singles win on Saturday, taking down the Hornet's Pranyte, 6-3 and 7-5.
