Raya, Santana lead Bulldogs at Master's XC Invitational

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - After two weeks off, the Fresno State cross country teams traveled back to Southern California for The Master's XC Invitational on Saturday morning. Crystal Raya and Christian Santana led the teams on the course at Central Park.

Raya finished the 6k in 23:24.7, placing 51st for the women. Freshman Hannah Garrity was four spots behind her teammate, crossing the line with a season-best 23:32.4.

On the men's side, Santana was the top finisher in the 8k at 26:10.3, eight seconds off of his personal best from two weeks ago. Like Santana, teammate Elijah Williams was just shy of his pace from Riverside, clocking a time of 26:54.7.

Fresno State will travel to a familiar course in two weeks, competing at the Bronco Invitational in Sunnyvale, California on Oct. 19.
