FRESNO, Calif — Several former Fresno State football players saw action in the first week of NFL preseason games this weekend. With many starters sitting out and seeing limited action in preseason games, several former Bulldogs flashed promises for their chances at making the roster or practice squads across the league.
The NFL Preseason continues with games the next two weeks.
Davante Adams (Las Vegas Raiders)
Adams did not see action in Saturday's game against the Vikings.
Raiders preseason games: 8/17 vs Dallas Cowboys; 8/23 vs San Francisco 49ers
Levelle Bailey (Denver Broncos)
Bailey led the Broncos with four tackles in Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts, seeing time on defense and special teams in his NFL debut.
Broncos preseason games: 8/18 vs Green Bay Packers; 8/25 vs Arizona Cardinals
DaRon Bland (Dallas Cowboys)
Bland did not see action in Sunday's game against the Rams.
Cowboys preseason games: 8/17 at Las Vegas Raiders; 8/24 vs Los Angeles Chargers
Derek Carr (New Orleans Saints)
Carr got the start in the Saints' win against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday. Carr completed 2-of-6 pass attempts for 12 yards in limited action.
Saints preseason games: 8/18 at San Francisco 49ers; 8/25 vs Tennessee Titans
Jalen Moreno-Cropper (Dallas Cowboys)
Moreno-Cropper played his first half snaps for the Cowboys on Sunday, recording a team-high four receptions for 26 yards. He was targeted a team-high six times.

Jaelen Gill (Los Angeles Chargers)
Listed as a wide receiver for the Chargers, Gill saw heavy action as a returner on Saturday. Gill was the primary returner against the Seahawks, averaging 28 yards per kickoff return and 12.5 per punt return.
Gill had three kickoff returns for 84 yards total and two punt returns for 25 yards total.
He had one target as a receiver, but the pass was incomplete.
Chargers preseason games: 8/17 vs Los Angeles Rams; 8/24 at Dallas Cowboys
Jake Haener (New Orleans Saints)
Haener stepped in for Carr early in the game, and played the rest of the first half of Saturday's game. Haener left the game completing 9-of-13 attempts for a team-high 107 yards. He had a big-play completion for 58 yards to wide receiver A.T. Perry to set up a field goal to end the drive.

Carlton Johnson (Seattle Seahawks)
Johnson recorded one tackle for the Seahawks in his first bit of NFL preseason action on Saturday.

Jordan Mims (New Orleans Saints)
Mims led the Saints' rushing attack with a team-high 38 yards on a team-high 10 carries. He had a long run of 10 yards. He also had two receptions for eight yards in the win.

Aaron Mosby (Green Bay Packers)
Mosby had one tackle, one quarterback hit and one pass defended against the Cleveland Browns, coming in as a backup on the defensive line.
Packers preseason games: 8/18 at Denver Broncos; 8/24 vs Baltimore Ravens
Morice Norris Jr. (Detroit Lions)
Norris Jr. appeared in the Lions loss to the New York Giants on Thursday. He totaled three tackles in his NFL preseason debut.
Lions preseason games: 8/17 at Kansas City Chiefs; 8/24 vs Pittsburgh Steelers
Nikko Remigio (Kansas City Chiefs)
Remigio did a little bit of everything for the Chiefs in the first preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday. He led the team in receiving yards, recording 35 yards on three receptions. He averaged 11.7 yards per catch, and had a long catch of 29 yards. He had one rush attempt for a 3-yard gain.
Remigio also handled punt and kickoff returns for the Chiefs. At punt return, he had one attempt for no yards. At kickoff return, he had one return for 31 yards.
Chiefs preseason games: 8/17 vs Detroit Lions; 8/22 vs Chicago Bears
Ronnie Rivers (Los Angeles Rams)
Rivers did not see action in Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
Rams preseason games: 8/17 vs Los Angeles Chargers; 8/24 at Houston Texans
Mykal Walker (Washington Commanders)
Walker had three tackles in the preseason opener against the New York Jets, tying for the third-most on the team in his first action with the franchise. He saw play time as a linebacker and on special teams.
Commanders preseason games: 8/17 at Miami Dolphins; 8/25 vs New England Patriots
