STAY CLASSY, SAN DIEGO

The Diamond 'Dogs are returning to Tony Gwynn field for the first time since March of 2022.

San Diego State will also host the Mountain West Championship at the end of May where the top four teams in the conference will compete for the title.

HEY MW, DID YOU MISS US?

The Diamond 'Dogs took a break from MW play for five straight games, including a series win over Washington State on the road.

Despite stepping away from MW play for the weekend, Fresno State still remains at the top of the conference standings, two games ahead of second-place New Mexico.

The Bulldogs have nine MW games remaining in the regular season, six on the road (at San Diego State and Air Force) and three at home (against UNLV).

DOUBLE TROUBLE

Shortstop Ben Newton has earned his spot as the Mountain West doubles leader with 21 on the season.

Newton is only three two-baggers run away from leading the nation in doubles and currently sits in fourth.

With an average of 0.48 doubles per game, Newton is eighth in the country.

KINGS OF THE MOUND

The Diamond 'Dogs continue to lead the conference on the mound with a team ERA of 5.31.

As a team, the Bulldogs rank third in the nation with an average of 2.95 walks per nine innings.

A strikeout-to-walk ratio of 3.10 places the Bulldogs sixth in the nation.
