Bulldog trio earns All-Big 12 honors

WACO, Texas - A trio of Bulldogs were named to the 2023-24 All-Big 12 Equestrian team on Saturday following the conclusion of the championship event. Sara Tuck (flat), Olivia Ferro (fences) and Shelby Robinette (reining) earned spots on their respective teams.

Fresno State had its most All-Big 12 selections in a season since the shortened 2021 spring season when the 'Dogs had five selections.

Sara Tuck, Flat All-Big 12

Tuck earns back-to-back All-Big 12 honors in the flat, finishing this season with a 9-3-1 overall record with four MOPs. She became the first Bulldog to earn All-Big 12 flat honors multiple times in a career. Tuck had the most wins for the Bulldogs on the year, not only in the flat but in any event this season with nine. She finished 3-2-1 in her Big 12 competitions in the regular season. She had an undefeated record on the road, with four of her wins coming at ranked opponents. Tuck had a streak of five-straight flat wins to end the fall and open the spring season. Her four MOPs were also the most by any player on the team, in any event this season. She set the program record for most Flat MOPs in a career with her big win at SMU (Feb. 3).

Olivia Ferro, Fences All-Big 12

Ferro earned all-conference recognition for the first time in her career. The 2023-24 year was a big one for her as she recorded a single-season career-best seven wins in the fences to lead the 'Dogs in the event this season. Ferro finished the season with a 7-4-1 record with one MOP. She had the highest fences score by any rider on the year in her MOP ride against TCU, scoring a 90 to her opponent's 77. The 90 was a career-high for the senior. She was 4-1-1 in her Big 12 rides this regular season.

Ferro is the first Bulldog to earn All-Big 12 fences honors since Ana Bertozzi in 2021.

Shelby Robinette, Reining All-Big 12

Robinette recorded a personal career-best seven wins in the reining this season with four coming on the road. She finished 4-2 against Big 12 opponents in the regular season. Her overall record on the year was 7-6-0 with one MOP. She recorded a season-high 73 twice to finish off the season with back-to-back home wins. She earned her second-career MOP in the season-opening weekend at South Dakota State.

Robinette is the first Bulldog to earn All-Big 12 reining honors since Bailey Alexander in 2021-22.
