SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Fresno State baseball team is back on the road to Sacramento State to rematch the Hornets on Tuesday at 6 p.m. PT at John Smith Field.
NEIGHBORS TO THE NORTH
Fresno State is heading north to the state's capital for its 156th contest against Sac State in program history.
The Bulldogs have a .779 win percentage over the Hornets with 120 wins over Sac State since first meeting in 1950.
Fresno State split the season with the Hornets with one win and one loss in midweek games, both hosted at Pete Beiden Field at Bob Bennett Stadium.
Sacramento State is starting the season with a 1-2 record after hosting LMU, an opponent the Bulldogs will face twice later in the season.

Rocco Peppi led the Bulldog offense this week with a .467 average.
Peppi hit his first grand slam in a Bulldog uniform on Sunday in Fresno State's win over Columbia.
In Friday's win over nationally ranked UC Irvine, Peppi pinch hit for the Bulldogs to drive in a run with an RBI single.
Peppi went 7 for 15 on the weekend without a single strikeout in addition to a stolen base and 8 RBIs.
CAM SCHNEIDER – MOUNTAIN WEST FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Cam Schneider made two starts for the 'Dogs this week, one at third base against Pacific and one at DH against Columbia.
Schneider batted .500 with 4 hits in 8 at-bats.
Cam also recorded his first career RBI and first stolen base.
NOAH BEAL – MOUNTAIN WEST PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Noah Beal pitched a career game against nationally ranked and undefeated UC Irvine this week.
Beal was on the mound for 7 innings and struck out a career-high 12 batters.
He also did not allow a single walk in his time on the bump in his first win of the season.
The Anteaters were held to a .130 average with Beal on the mound, a team that usually has a team average of .302.
