'Dogs finish 10th in Hawai'i

LIHUE, Hawai'i – The Fresno State golf team finished the three-day John Burns Intercollegiate at the Ocean Course at Hokuala tied for 10th place, after carding a 7-over 872.

Matthew Sutherland posted his best round of the tournament, scoring a 1-under 70 in the final round. With the help of five birdies on Saturday, he climbed up seven places to finish tied for eighth with an overall score of 4-under 212.

Joseph Lloyd also finished under par. He carded a 1-under 215, tying for 23rd place.

Matthew Manganello had a final tournament score of 7-over, Ryan Firpo was 7-over and Mason Benbrook was 15-over.

Fresno State will compete at the San Diego Classic March 4-5.
