Former Bulldogs locked in for NFL Playoffs ahead

FRESNO, Calif. - With Wild Card weekend approaching, eight former Bulldogs see their season continue into the playoffs, including three on active rosters, three on a practice squad, one on injured reserve and one on a coaching staff.

Miami Dolphins at Kansas City Chiefs - Saturday, Jan. 13 | 5 p.m. PT | Peacock

Former Bulldog wide receiver Nikko Remigio (2022) has been with the Chiefs this season. Remigio had an exciting camp, but was put on the IR, missing the regular season. Remigio is still associated with the organization, but will not be active in the playoffs.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Buffalo Bulls - Sunday, Jan. 14 | 10 a.m. PT | CBS/Paramount+

This game is a head-to-head matchup between former Bulldogs with Mykal Walker (2017-19) and David Perales (2019-22) suiting up for the Steelers against Bills running backs coach Kelly Skipper (1985-88).

Walker, who was a two-time first team All-Mountain West linebacker, has been with the Steelers for the last eight weeks. He joined the organization and made an immediate impact, having started in five games since his arrival. He has 21 tackles and an interception since joining the team.

Perales was signed back to the Steelers' practice squad this week ahead of the wild card weekend.

Skipper, former Bulldog player and assistant coach, and brother to current Fresno State assistant head coach and linebackers coach Tim Skipper, is in his seventh season as the Bill's running backs coach. In his first six full seasons with the organization, he has led the Bills' offense to 126.0 rushing yards per game for the seventh-highest average in the NFL.

Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys - Sunday, Jan. 14 | 1:30 p.m. PT | FOX

Another head-to-head matchup between former 'Dogs sees Arron Mosby (2017-21) and the Packers, and DaRon Bland (2021) and Jalen Moreno-Cropper (2019-22) with the Cowboys, face off.

Mosby has been with the Packers practice squad for the entirety of the 2023 season.

Bland has proven to be one of the best defensive players in the League this season, earning a Pro Bowl nod with a starting spot and an All-Pro selection this season by both the AP and NFLPA. Bland leads the NFL with nine interceptions on the year, with an NFL-record five returned for a touchdown.

Moreno-Cropper signed to the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent this year, and has been a steady member of their practice squad in 2023.

Los Angeles Rams at Detroit Lions - Sunday, Jan. 14 | 5 p.m. PT | NBC, Peacock

Ronnie Rivers (2017-21) is a set of healthy legs again for the Rams. Rivers missed a portion of the season due to injury but has since returned and is fresh off of his first start of the year against the 49ers last week.
