FRESNO, Calif. - Seven former Bulldogs were on active rosters for Week 18 of the NFL season, closing out the regular season with playoffs ahead. Six former Bulldogs will continue their seasons in the playoffs.
Running back Jordan Mims was elevated to the active roster a day ahead of the Saints' home game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Davante Adams, WR, Las Vegas Raiders
Adams had five receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders' 27-14 win over the Broncos on Sunday.
The Raiders season ended, finishing the year with an 8-9 record. Adams' season included 103 receptions for 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns. It was his fifth-consecutive season with 1,000 yards receiving.
DaRon Bland, CB, Dallas Cowboys
Bland helped lead the Cowboys to securing the NFC East with a 38-10 win against the Washington Commanders on Sunday. Bland finished the day with three tackles and an interception.
Bland, who last week was announced as a Pro Bowl selection, enters the playoffs with 69 total tackles and nine interceptions on the season. Of those nine interceptions, Bland has returned a NFL single-season record five back for a touchdown.
Derek Carr, QB, New Orleans Saints
Carr led the Saints to a Week 18 victory, defeating the Falcons 48-17 on Sunday. The Saints did their part to keep playoff hopes alive, but needed some help from teams around the NFL and the hopes fell through. Carr finishes his first season in New Orleans, completing 375-of-548 pass attempts for 3,878 yards and 25 touchdowns.
Jake Haener, QB, New Orleans Saints
Haener was inactive for the Week 18 matchup against the Falcons.
Jordan Mims, RB, New Orleans Saints
Mims was activated for the Week 18 contest, and saw some action in the 48-17 victory. He had one target, but did not record any yardage gained.
Ronnie Rivers, RB, Los Angeles Rams
Rivers got his first start of the season against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Rivers, who spent the majority of the season on the IR, returned from injury a few weeks ago and has been working behind one of the NFL's top rushers in Kyren Williams. With Williams sitting out last week, Rivers stepped into that starting role. The former Bulldog finished the game with 13 carries for 52 yards, a career-high for the second-year Ram. The Rams defeated the 49ers 21-20, snapping a nine-game regular season losing streak.
Mykal Walker, LB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Walker, in his eighth game with the Steelers, finished the Week 18 contest with two tackles to help the Steelers to a 17-10 win over the Ravens. The Steelers' win was what they could do to control their playoff destiny, but they also needed help from around the League. They got that help, and their season continues in the playoffs.
Since being in Pittsburgh, Walker has played eight games and started in five. He has 21 tackles and an interception in that time.
