Fraga named MW Freshman of the Year, All-MW team announced

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresno State volleyball's Dionii Fraga has been crowned Mountain West Freshman of the Year along with All-Mountain West alongside Addison Haluksa and Ella Rud.

DIONII FRAGA – MOUNTAIN WEST FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR, ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST

Freshman Dionii Fraga has been a dynamite addition to the Bulldog squad in 2023 as the starting libero in every match and set this season.

Fraga is responsible for 302 digs this season and averages 4.25 digs per set, the highest in the conference in MW play.

Fraga has a .931 reception percentage and sits at 51% good pass.

In all 71 conference sets played for the Bulldogs, Fraga has led the team in digs.

After assisting the Bulldogs in defeating Colorado State and Wyoming, Fraga was tabbed MW Freshman of the Week on October 24.

ADDISON HALUKSA – ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST

Sophomore Addison Haluska has played an integral role in the Bulldog offense this season, leading the team with 3.52 points per set and 250.0 overall.

Haluska also sits 2nd amongst the Bulldogs in service aces per set, averaging 0.31 and 22 on the season.

Haluska has 205 kills in 2023 with an average of 2.89 to lead the 'Dogs.

Playing in all 71 sets for the Bulldogs this year, Haluska has also totaled 37 blocks with an average of 0.52 blocks per set.

ELLA RUD – ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST

Junior Ella Rud, a member of the 2023 Mountain West Global Challenge team, started in every match for the Bulldogs this season.

Ella had a dominant performance at the service line this season with a team-leading 25 service aces in conference play.

Rud averaged 0.35 service aces per set (6th in the conference) with a season-high of six against New Mexico on September 23 at the Save Mart Center.

Rud is passing a 2.2 and sits at 50% in point scoring.

This season Rud had totaled 24 blocks, 15 assists and 9 solo, for an average of 0.34 blocks per set.
