2023 'Dogs in the NFL: Week 8

FRESNO, Calif. - Three former Bulldogs were in action during Week 8 of the NFL season.

Some roster moves around the league saw former Bulldog Mykal Walker signed to the practice squad for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday (Oct. 30). On Tuesday (Oct. 31), the Steelers released David Perales from their practice squad.

Davante Adams, WR, Las Vegas Raiders

Adams was held in check on Monday night against the Detroit Lions as he went for just 11 yards on one catch.

DaRon Bland, CB, Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys dominated the Rams on Sunday and lone and behold DaRon Bland had his fingerprints all over it. He was the team's leading tackler with seven. He also had two passes defended including his third pick six of the season – the most ever by a Cowboys player in a single season. He now chases the all-time NFL record of four set by Eric Allen of the Philadelphia Eagles in 1993.

Derek Carr, QB, New Orleans Saints

Carr and the Saints played a much cleaner game against the Colts as they walked away with a 38-27 win on the road. Unlike the last two weeks, Carr was not forced into throwing the ball 50 or more times as he went 19-of-27 for 310 yards and two touchdowns.

Jake Haener, QB, New Orleans Saints

Haener was not active in the Saints' game in Indianapolis.
