LOGAN, Utah – Up against it early and often with Utah State attempting 25 shots, Fresno State dropped its first Mountain West road match of the season, 2-0, on Thursday afternoon at Chuck and Gloria Bell Soccer Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Utah State jumped out on the front foot early, peppering Fresno State's goal with seven shots in the first 10 minutes. The Bulldogs' had a quick flurry of three in the 20th minute but the third attempt missed the mark.
The 25th minute saw the match's opening goal for the Aggies. Tenzi Knowles' initial shot from close range was stopped by Valentina Vivas but Kaylie Chambers tapped in the rebound before the 'Dogs could get to the loose ball. USU kept the pressure on Fresno State, outshooting the 'Dogs 18-6 in the first half.
Utah State tacked on its second goal of the afternoon early in the second half with Summer Diamond first timing a through ball from 10 yards out.

Fresno State lost its seventh game when trailing at the half (0-7-2).
