FRESNO, Calif. — Fresno State heads out on its second Mountain West road trip of the year, traveling to Utah State on Thursday and Boise State on Sunday. The Aggies and Broncos currently sit in third and second, respectively, in the conference standings.

TAKE TWO

When Fresno State bags two goals this year, it's a win. While it's only happened twice, both games have resulted in wins

Most recently, Fresno State scored two second-half goals in its win last time out against Wyoming. Kaelyn Miller scored her first of the season while Ciara Wilson tacked on some insurance with her second.

DRAWING POINTS

Fresno State has seen a lot of draws this season. With five matches remaining, the Bulldogs have already set the program record for draws in a season with six. Their three in conference play, with seven games remaining, has already matched the program's most in a conference season (2004, 2018).

With two draws last week in Nevada, the Bulldogs have drawn their last three matches which is the longest stretch of consecutive draws in program history.

VV

The stretch of draws was aided by the goalkeeping of fifth-year senior Valentina Vivas. In those three games, Vivas has allowed one goal while facing 43 shots. She has produced 15 saves.

Following her third shutout of the season in a 2-0 win over Wyoming, Vivas leads the MW in shutouts in conference matches, recording three in six games.

The three shutouts are the most in a season by a Bulldog keeper since Nicole Theroux in 2017.

FRESNO'S OWN LEADING THE SCORING COLUMN

Fresno State's top to point scorers this season have been two local products, Ciara Wilson and Megan Galvan. Each with two goals on the year, Wilson has six points while Galvan has five.

When one of them has recorded three points in a match, the Bulldogs have come away with a win.
