MW Basketball Media Days head to Las Vegas

FRESNO, Calif. - The 2023 Mountain West Basketball Media Days are set for Oct. 11-12 at the Resorts World in Las Vegas, Nev.

Representing each institution will be the head coach and two student-athletes. For the women's team, Fresno State will bring head coach Jaime White, and Sydney Dethman (junior) and Mia Jacobs (sophomore) as its representatives. The men's team will be represented by head coach Justin Hutson, and Isaiah Hill (senior) and Eduardo Andre (senior).

The women will begin the event on Wednesday with the men following on Thursday.

Fans are encouraged to follow along with the Bulldog representatives at Mountain West Media Days on the official Fresno State Men's and Women's Basketball and Mountain West social media pages. The Mountain West will also have its live show available for Day 1 and Day 2.

Notes on the Fresno State representatives:

Jaime White, Fresno State Head Women's Basketball Coach

Enters her 10th season as the head coach of the Fresno State women's basketball program.

White has guided the 'Dogs to a regular season championship (2020-21), three 20-win seasons, five postseason appearances and four appearances in the Mountain West tournament championship game.

Holds a .596 winning percentage (96-65) in Mountain West games and has an overall .568 winning percentage at Fresno State (162-123).

Sydney Dethman, Fresno State junior center

Played in 31 games with 23 starts in 2022-23.

Averaged 22.6 minutes, 5.0 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.

Recorded first career double-double against San Jose State with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Matched her career high in rebounds with 10 at Utah State.

Had four double-figure scoring games.

Mia Jacobs, Fresno State sophomore forward

Transferred to Fresno State from LaSalle after playing one season (2022-23).

2023 Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team selection.

Averaged 9.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

In conference play, started 13 of 14 games and was second for the Explorers with 11.6 points per game and averaged a team-best 6.5 rebounds per contest. Ranked Top 25 in the league in both categories both points and rebounds per game in conference play.

Registered 14 double-digit scoring games and had three games with double-digit rebounding games.

Justin Hutson, Fresno State Head Men's Basketball Coach

Enters his sixth season as the head coach of the Fresno State men's basketball program.

Hutson produced a 69-53 record in his first four seasons at Fresno State. The 69 victories is the second-most by a Bulldogs' head men's basketball coach in his first four seasons during the program's Division I era.

Hutson has twice won 23 games in a season (2018-19 and 2021-22) and guided the Bulldogs while capturing the 2022 The Basketball Classic, presented by ERACISM, Championship.

Isaiah Hill, Fresno State senior guard

Has started all 88 games during his three seasons with Fresno State after beginning career at Tulsa.

Led the Bulldogs in points and assists 2022-23, averaging 12.6 points and 4.1 assists per game.

Reached double-figures in scoring in 19 games with 20-point outings.

Scored a career-high 28 points versus UNLV.

Had a career-high 10 assists against Chicago State a 13-point, 10-assist double-double.

Recorded at least five assists 12 times.

Eduardo Andre, Fresno State senior center

Started final 15 games of last season after transferring to Fresno State for 2022-23 from Nebraska.

Reached double-figures in nine times during those 15 games. Totaled 12 on the year.

Posted six double-doubles with five coming during conference play.

Averaged 10.9 points and 7.9 rebounds per game when starting.

Recorded two 20-point games with a career-high 26 against Air Force.
