FRESNO, Calif. — After a week away, Fresno State returns to Bulldog Soccer Stadium this week to host Colorado State and Wyoming. Thursday's match with the Rams is set for 7 p.m. PT, while the clash with the Cowgirls will kick at noon on Sunday.

Still early into Mountain West play, the Bulldogs sit one point behind Colorado State and three points ahead of Wyoming in the standings.

DRAWING POINTS

Fresno State has seen a lot of draws this season. With seven matches remaining, the Bulldogs have already set the program record for draws in a season with six. Their three in conference play, with seven games remaining, has already matched the program's most in a conference season (2004, 2018).

With two draws last week in Nevada, the Bulldogs have drawn their last three matches which is the longest stretch of consecutive draws in program history.

VV

The stretch of draws has been aided by the goalkeeping of fifth-year senior Valentina Vivas. In the last three games, Vivas has allowed one goal while facing 43 shots. She has produced 15 saves.

Vivas entered the season with one solo shutout in her career, but has added two to that total in the last three matches.

PLAY 90

Splitting time during most of her career, Valentina Vivas has played the full 90 in five matches in her final season. Four of those matches resulted in a draw for the 'Dogs. The first of those in Mountain West play came on Sept. 24 against New Mexico in which the Bogota native kept the Lobos off the board while facing 14 shots and producing four saves. The result was just the second solo shutout of her career, and first since 2019.

It was just the second time since 2016, and the third time in the 14-match history that Fresno State had held New Mexico scoreless.

HIGH FIVE

Five Bulldogs have scored their first career goals this season. Three of those goals were match-tying scores while the fourth was a game-winning goal.

Netting their first goals are Adriana Maldonado, Laura Mas, Ciara Wilson, Lizbeth De Loera and Haley Espinoza.

CONFERENCE PLAY

Until last season, Fresno State has won at least five matches in MW play dating back to 2016. Four of those five seasons resulted in a trip to the Mountain West tournament.

In two of those seasons, the Bulldogs had a point or less after the first week of conference play.
