Three ’Dogs earn CSCAA Scholar All-American honors

RICHMOND, Va. – Three Fresno State student-athletes earned Scholar All-America individual team honors for their efforts for the 2022-2023 season from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

Fresno State's Silvia Alessio, Grace Ally and Athena Clayson each were named to the CSCAA 2023 Individual Scholar All-American Second Team.

CSCAA named 1,201 (721 women, 480 men) Division I student athletes for the 2022-23 season.

As a program, the Fresno State swimming and diving team also received recognition as a 2022-23 Spring Scholar All-America Team.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.

In order to earn First-Team Scholar All-American, student-athletes need a 3.50 GPA or higher and participate in a national championship. Second-Team requires a 3.50 GPA or higher and meet "B" time requirements for national championship or zone standards for diving.
