11 national broadcasts, 6 Saturday home dates highlight 2023 slate

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West, in partnership with CBS Sports and Fox Sports, announced today the television slate for the 2023 football season. Fresno State learned that Saturdays are again for the 'Dogs with each of the six home games not moving away from Saturday dates.

The Bulldogs learned a select group of kickoff times and TV designations for games this coming fall. Fresno State will play four games on CBS Sports Network, six on a Fox Sports Network platform, and one on the Big Ten Network. Fresno State's Sept. 9 home opener against Eastern Washington is the only contest not selected for a television broadcast as of Wednesday's announcement.

Just one game in the 2023 season will be played on a non-Saturday game day as the Bulldogs' October contest at Utah State has been moved to Friday, Oct. 13.

Fresno State's season opener at Purdue will kickoff at 9 a.m. PT on the Big Ten Network.

The following Fresno State football games will be broadcast on a Fox Sports network:

Saturday, Sept. 16 at Arizona State - 7:30 p.m. PT on FS1

Saturday, Sept. 30 vs. Nevada - TBD, FOX, FS1or FS2

Saturday, Oct. 7 at Wyoming - TBD, FOX, FS1 or FS2

Saturday, Oct. 28 vs. UNLV - TBD, FOX, FS1 or FS2

Saturday, Nov. 18 vs. New Mexico - TBD, FOX, FS1 or FS2

Saturday, Nov. 25 at San Diego State TBD, FOX, FS1 or FS2

Network selection and kickoff time for the five games still to be determined will be generally filled 12 days out from kickoff.

The following Fresno State football games will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network:

Saturday, Sept. 23 vs. Kent State - 7:30 p.m. PT on CBSSN

Friday, Oct. 13 at Utah State - 5:00 p.m. PT on CBSSN

Saturday, Nov. 4 vs Boise State - 7:00 p.m. PT on CBSSN

Saturday, Nov. 11 at San Jose State - 7:30 p.m. PT on CBSSN

This completes the second stage of the 2023 football schedule process and the identification of all non-Saturday games (no additional games will move).

Notable

Six of Fresno State's 12 games have set kickoff times.

Fresno State will play all six home games of the season on a Saturday for the first time since the 2018 season.

The Bulldogs will play just one non-Saturday game this season – Friday, Oct. 13 at Utah State.

11 games were selected for a national broadcast, marking the second straight season with 10 or more games selected to a national broadcast.

The 2023 Mountain West Championship will be played Saturday, December 2, on FOX (1 p.m. MT/12 p.m. PT/10 a.m. HT).

Season Ticket Information

Kickoff at Valley Children's Stadium is right around the corner. The 2023 home schedule is highlighted by six home dates, kicking off the home slate against Eastern Washington (Sept. 9) and Kent State (Sept. 23). The Bulldogs' host Mountain West opponents Nevada (Sept. 30), UNLV (Oct. 28), Boise State (Nov. 4) and New Mexico (Nov. 18) in 2023.
