RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – Carding her lowest round of the season with a 1-under par 71, Nicola Kaminski is tied for eighth through 18 holes at the 2023 Mountain West Championship held at the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at the Mission Hills Country Club.
Kaminski put herself in the Top 10 early playing a bogey-free front nine with birdies at No. 2 and No. 7. Pulling back to 2 under after her third birdie of the day at No. 16, the junior dropped back to 1 under with a bogey on her final hole of the round.
Harriet Lynch is two shots back of Kaminski and sits in a tie for 17th. Playing 2-over par for much of the day following two bogeys in her first five holes, Lynch birdied the par-3 14th. She finished the day with a 1-over par 73.Fresno State is ninth on the leaderboard at 8-over par. The 'Dogs are two strokes out of fifth. No. 43 New Mexico leads at 3-under par.
The Bulldogs will begin teeing off Round 2 tomorrow at 7 a.m. PT.
