BULLDOG BONES

Fresno State looks to defeat its second Top 5 team in program history. The Bulldogs' highest ranked win was an 11-8 win over then-No. 4 Arizona State in the 2022 season opener on Jan. 21, 2022.

The Bulldogs enter Thursday's match on a 10-game winning streak.

Fresno State is 2-2 against its MPSF opponents this season, falling to then-No. 1 Stanford and then-No. 4 Cal earlier this year.

Fresno State is led in scoring by Brooke Ochoa with 53 goals on 114 shots. Ochoa has the team's highest shooting percentage (.465).

Cynthia Rosa leads the country with a .945 sprint win percentage. She is 52-3 on the year, and has won 21-straight sprints dating back to the first sprint of the Mar. 4 game against San Diego State.

Rosa's 52 wins are the second-most in the country.

Jillian Schlultz has been aggressive as the center this season, pulling a team-high 59 drawn exclusions on the year.

In the goal, keeper Paula Nieto Jasny has 157 saves for a .529 save percentage, the second-best mark in the GCC.

Nieto Jasny has a 10.05 goals allowed average, the lowest in the conference.

Brooke Ochoa's 53 goals through this point of the season are the third-most in a single season in program history.

Ochoa also has the third-most steals in a single season with 33 entering tomorrow's matchup.

Jillian Schultz has 59 drawn exclusions, a number that is tied for fourth-most in a single season in program history.

Ochoa (33), Daphne Guevremont (24) and Paula Nieto Jasny (22) are both in the Top 10 in program history for single season steals.

A LOOK AT THE RECORD BOOK

Daphne Guevremont moved into second in program history in career goals, surpassing Callie Woodruff. Guevremont currently has 169 career goals. Emily Nicholson holds the program record with 195 goals.

Guevremont now holds the program record for most assists in a career, surpassing Claire Schade. Guevremont has 124 assists in her career.

Guevremont also owns the program record for most career steals, grabbing 107 in her time as a Bulldog. She passed Nicholson, who held the record previously with 83.

Guevremont also has the program's record for most career field blocks with 55.

Goalkeeper Paula Nieto Jasny owns the program record in saves with 502 in her career.

WHAT'S STILL AHEAD?

Fresno State secured its third-straight No. 1 seed at the GCC tournament after defeating LMU 10-7 at home on April 1.

With the win, the Bulldogs also secured at least a share of the regular season GCC title.

Fresno State and LMU were both undefeated in conference play entering last Saturday's match, and LMU was picked as the preseason conference favorite.

San Diego State is this year's conference championship host. The Bulldogs will play down in San Diego on April 28-30.

Fresno State has its final regular season conference game at Santa Clara on April 22.

SCOUTING UCLA

UCLA ranked No. 3 in the latest CWPA team rankings.

UCLA is 16-4 on the season, and 2-1 in MPSF play on the year.

The Bruins' only four losses this year are to Top 5 teams - No.1 Stanford, No. 2 USC (twice), and No. 4 Cal.

UCLA is riding a four-game winning streak.

The Bruins return six All-Americans from the 2022 squad that reached the NCAA Semifinals and went 24-6 (.800) overall. Graduate center Ava Johnson was the only Bruin to earn Second-Team honors. The remaining five Bruins earned Honorable Mention All-America accolades, which included graduate attacker Val Ayala, graduate utility Katrina Drake, senior utility Abbi Hill, redshirt senior goalkeeper Georgia Phillips and sophomore attacker Molly Renner.
