Fresno State is riding a seven-game winning streak, and continues into conference play undefeated.

Fresno State has won 19-straight GCC games dating back to March 27, 2021.

The Bulldogs moved up a spot in the Collegiate Water Polo Association team rankings this week, ranking T-No. 7 alongside Princeton.

Fresno State is 3-0 on the road this season, and is on the road for the first time since early March.

Brooke Ochoa leads the 'Dogs with 48 goals scored. She is fifth in the conference in the category.

Cynthia Rosa has a 41-3 sprint record with a .932 winning percentage. Her percentage leads the conference and her 41 wins is second in the GCC.

In goal, Paula Nieto Jasny has recorded 108 saves. Nieto Jasny is second in the GCC with a .489 save percentage. Her 8.45 goals against average is a mark that leads the conference.

Fresno State is fresh off of a 17-6 conference win over Azusa Pacific.

A LOOK AT THE RECORD BOOK

Daphne Guevremont moved into second in program history in career goals, surpassing Callie Woodruff. Guevremont currently has 166 career goals. Emily Nicholson holds the program record with 195 goals.

Guevremont now holds the program record for most assists in a career, surpassing Claire Schade. Guevremont has 114 assists in her career.

Guevremont now owns the program record for most career steals, grabbing 100 in her time as a Bulldog. She passed Nicholson, who held the record previously with 83.

Guevremont also has the program's record for most career field blocks with 54.

Goalkeeper Paula Nieto Jasny owns the program record with 553 in her career.

SINGLE SEASON NUMBERS OUTLOOK

Brooke Ochoa's 48 goals through this point of the season ties for the fourth-most in a single season in program history.

Ochoa also ties for the eighth-most steals in a single season with 22 entering this weekend's competition.

Jillian Schultz has 43 drawn exclusions, a number that is fifth-most in a single season in program history.

FRESNO STATE INVITE RECAP

Fresno State went 3-0 at the Fresno State Invite on Feb. 18-19.

The 'Dogs defeated Biola, 14-8, Fresno Pacific, 17-2 and Claremont Mudd-Scripps, 16-7 to improve to 7-7 on the season.

Fresno State scored 47 goals in three matches getting a team-high 10 from Schultz and eight from Brooke Ochoa.

In goal, Paula Nieto Jasny made four saves against Biola, 10 against Fresno Pacific and the trio of Nieto Jasny, Kelly Villanueva and Abigayle Armstrong each made three saves versus Claremont Mudd-Scripps.

The Bulldogs moved to 3-4 at home on the season.

LOOK BACK AT THE TRITON INVITE

The Bulldogs opened play at the Triton Invite on Feb. 3 against No. 21 San Diego State defeating the Aztecs, 15-7 with six goals from Ochoa.

After a loss to No. 5 Hawaii, the 'Dogs defeated No. 18 UC San Diego, 10-8 with three goals from Daphne Guevremont before dropping the fifth place match to No. 7 Long Beach State, 8-7.

GCC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

The Bulldogs have had a pair of GCC Player of the Week honors this season with Hailey Andress earning the honor on Feb. 9 and Jillian Schultz on Feb. 23.

Fresno State is second in the conference with two honorees on the season.

SCOUTING PACIFIC

Pacific is 17-5 this season with a 2-1 GCC record.

Last time out, Pacific defeated No. 11 Michigan 8-7 in an overtime thriller at home.

Pacific goalkeeper Clara Vulpisi was named the GCC Player of the Week this week.

Pacific is on a three-game winning streak. It's last two games were won in overtime/sudden death situations.

Pacific has a 1-0 record at home.

SCOUTING SAN JOSE STATE

San Jose State is 12-12 this season with a 0-1 record in MPSF play.

The Spartans fell to No. 4 UCLA 17-7 last time out.

San Jose State has seven scorers with 20 or more goals. Three of those scorers have fired 40 or more goals.

In the last meeting between the schools, Fresno State narrowly defeated then-No. 14 San Jose State 9-7 at the Cal Cup.
