Notes

The Bulldogs head into the Bandon Dunes Championship coming off their best result of the season, finishing runner-up at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate.

The Bulldogs' top performance of the fall came at the Nick Watney Invitational, shooting 22-under par (277-279-274—830) during the two-day event.

Matthew Manganello has won two of the last three tournaments Fresno State has competed in, the last coming last week at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate. He is the first Bulldog to earn multiple individual medalist honors in the same season since Nick Watney in 2002.

Following each of his last three tournaments, Manganello has claimed Mountain West Golfer of the Week or Golfer of the Month. The junior has fired nine consecutive rounds under par, and has been under par in 16 of the 18 rounds he has played this year.

Closing out the fall, Matthew Manganello earned the program's 31st individual tournament win for the program during the last 25 years, shooting a 7-under 206 at the Saint Mary's Invitational at Poppy Hills Golf Club.

Matthew Sutherland has earned Top 10 finishes in four tournaments this season following a ninth-place finish at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate. His first three came during the fall, finishing with an 11-under par at the Nick Watney Invitational (4th) a 9-under par at the Wolf Pack Classic (4th) and then a 8-under par at the Stockton Invitational (5th).

Manganello is ranked No. 45 in the nation according to GolfStat while Sutherland is No. 92. The Bulldogs are the only team in the Mountain Wet with two players ranked in the Top 100.

In his first tournament as a Bulldog, Utah transfer Joseph Lloyd finished two spots back of Sutherland. The sophomore was consistent, shooting in the 60s each round while posting an 8-under par 205 (69-68-68). Lloyd earned his second Top 15 finish last week in Palm Desert, Calif.

The year's roster is a mix of four returners (Jake Bettencourt, Andrew Lee, Matthew Manganello, Matthew Sutherland), two transfers (Joseph Lloyd, Ryan Mendez) and two true freshmen (Jake Aberle, Jaden Hunter).

Youth is something the Bulldogs have plenty of with no seniors on the roster. Lee, Manganello and Sutherland are the oldest 'Dogs but still have two seasons to play.

Bettencourt and Sutherland entered the year having competed in this past summer's U.S. Amateur
