'Dogs up one to No. 8

FRESNO, Calif. - The National Collegiate Equestrian Association announced its weekly rankings on Tuesday, and the Fresno State equestrian team saw itself move up a spot to No. 8. The Bulldogs are sitting at their highest ranking of the season heading into conference championships in three weeks.

Fresno State defeated No. 5 Oklahoma State at home last weekend, 10-9, to jump them up a spot in the rankings. It was the first time the Bulldogs have defeated a Top 5 team since last spring, and just the 12th time in program history.

The Bulldogs will await seedings for the Big 12 Championships, set to be held in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Mar. 24-25.

The Top 8 teams nationally qualify for the National Championships, held again this season at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Fla. on April 13-15.
