Fresno State will host a tri-meet with Minnesota Crookston and Baylor
FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State equestrian team opens its spring season at home this weekend, hosting Minnesota Crookston and No. 8 Baylor at the Student Horse Center on Friday and Saturday.
Minnesota Crookston and Baylor will also compete in a neutral site meet in Fresno this weekend.
Parking and admission to all Fresno State equestrian meets are free of charge.

WESTERN 'DOGS

Senior Hannah Buijs leads the horsemanship group with three wins.
Buijs has the team's lone horsemanship MOP on the year. After earning the MOP against Auburn, Buijs now has six horsemanship MOPs in her career. It is the most by any western rider on the team.
Buijs enters the spring season with a two-meet winning streak.
Senior Julianne Kelley leads the reining group with three wins.
Kelley is riding a two-meet winning streak in the reining.
JUMPING SEAT 'DOGS
Fresno State is 14-42-4 in its jumping seat events.
The Bulldogs' eight wins in the fences carry the jumping seat team.
Senior Ana Bertozzi was named the November Big 12 Co-Fences Rider of the Month.
Bertozzi was also the September Big 12 Flat Rider of the Month, being the only Bulldog to earn recognition by the conference this season.
Bertozzi leads the way with a 4-2 record in the fences. She also has one MOP.
Bertozzi has one MOP in each jumping seat event this season.
Elle Martin leads the flat team with a 3-3 record in the event.
Freshman Autumn Bradbury is the only true freshman to see riding time this season, having competed in the last two meets in the flat.
SCOUTING MINNESOTA CROOKSTON
The Golden Eagles are 0-3 in NCEA meets this season. They have competed against the University of South Carolina, Delaware State University, and South Dakota State University.
Minnesota Crookston will have three meets in California this weekend, first competing at UC Davis on Thursday, before facing the Bulldogs and Baylor on Friday and Saturday .
Minnesota Crookston was led their last time out against South Dakota State by Olivia Becker (Sr., Deer Park, Wis.), who earned a point in horsemanship. UMN Crookston picked up crucial rides in fences from Keira Boedigheimer (So., Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Julianna Gullo (Fr., Itasca, Ill.), but both were narrowly defeated. In horsemanship, Ashlyn Montague (Fr., Draper, Utah.) and Belle Sand (So., Spicer, Minn.) each had strong showing.
SCOUTING BAYLOR
Baylor was ranked No. 8 in the latest NCEA weekly rankings
Baylor is 4-4 on the season and 2-1 in its Big 12 matchups
Three of its four wins have come in its last three meets. Baylor has not lost a meet since falling 13-6 to No. 1 SMU on Nov. 4.
The Bears are coming off a strong week at home, having defeated No. 9 UT Martin and South Dakota State with 32 total points, the most in back-to-back meets in program history.
Multiple Bears are riding win streaks of at least four in their respective events, including Lauren Reid (Fences), Rutledge (Horsemanship), Silvestri (Flat) and Maddie Vorhies (Fences).
