FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State water polo team wrapped up action at the Bulldog Fest on Sunday at the Aquatics Center falling to No. 6 Hawaii, 13-6 and No. 4 Cal, 16-10.
Fresno State (0-4) tallied single goals from six different Bulldogs against Hawaii getting scores from Cynthia Rosa, Brooke Ochoa, Isabella Sonkoly, Jillian Schultz, Susanna Martinez and Elisa Grim.
The tournament wrapped up with the 'Dogs scoring a season-high 10 goals getting two goals apiece from Rosa, Daphne Guevremont and Kelsey McKenney and one goal apiece from Ochoa, Sonkoly, Schultz and Kaitlin Howarth.
How It Happened vs. No. 6 Hawaii
The 'Dogs kept pace in the early going with the Rainbow Wahine trailing 3-2 after the opening quarter and a goal from Grim with one second left in the second quarter brought the Bulldogs within 6-4 at the break.
Four straight goals for Hawaii put the visitors out in front, 10-4 with six minutes to play in the fourth quarter as the 'Dogs could only muster two more goals the remainder of the match.
How It Happened vs. No. 4 Cal
Taking on the highest ranked team in the Bulldog Fest field in the finale, the 'Dogs kept pace with the Golden Bears in the early going trailing 5-3 after a goal by Howarth and kept it at a two-goal deficit at 7-5 after back-to-back goals from Guevremont in the third quarter.
A 4-1 run by Cal extended the Bears lead to 11-6 at the start of the fourth quarter as the 'Dogs were unable to get any closer than four in the final frame.

The Bulldogs head out on the road next weekend to the Cal Cup hosted by Cal taking on No. 12 UC Davis, No. 1 Stanford, No. 3 UCLA and No. 13 San Jose State.
